Today, Black Ambition, an organization dedicated to fostering the success of Black, Hispanic, and HBCU entrepreneurs, proudly announces its fourth annual Black Ambition Prize Competition is now open for applications for the 2024 prize cycle. The annual prize competition serves as a platform for innovation and aims to bridge the racial wealth gap by empowering underrepresented founders.
Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition, the non-profit initiative dedicated to supporting Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs, has awarded $1 million dollars to Antoinette Banks, CEO and Founder of Expert IEP, a parent-facing app that optimizes existing Individualized Education Plans with predictive AI for children diagnosed with a disability, as the Grand Prize Winner of its 2023 Prize competition at the third-annual “Demo Day” event held on Thursday, November 9th at Spring Studios in New York, NY.

Black Ambition, Techstars, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund are collaborating to gather undergraduate and graduate students studying across disciplines at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. Black Ambition and Mosaic Genius announce the Gathering on the Vineyard Prize Competition, an opportunity for Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs to pitch their business ventures for a chance to win access to mentorship and growth capital.A panel of expert judges will award $20k to the top three applicants. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000, the second place winner will receive $7,000, and the third place winner will receive $3,000.Black Ambition is a non-profit initiative founded by Pharrell Williams, a visionary recording artist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, working towards closing the opportunity and wealth gap for Black and Hispanic communities through entrepreneurship. The adidas x Black Ambition Inglewood Prize Competition in partnership with Sonder Impact is providing a platform for Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs in Inglewood to access growth capital, pitch feedback, and entrepreneurial training. This Competition is part of the Black Ambition x adidas Opportunity Week which seeks to activate the 2022 Super Bowl beyond the field by providing empowering experiences for members of the Inglewood community.
