Enhancing Our Model’s Impact
Over the past five years, Black Ambition has built a powerful foundation focused on identifying and investing in visionary entrepreneurial talent: we trained more than 1,175 entrepreneurs, funded 157 companies, and deployed millions in capital. Now, Black Ambition is evolving its investment model to embrace a more long-term, founder-centric approach designed not only to discover exceptional talent, but to help founders scale sustainably, build enduring companies, and unlock generational impact.
Expanding Our Commitment to Founders
This year, Black Ambition is doubling down on what matters most: positioning the founders already in our portfolio to win. We’re deploying up to $1 million in follow-on capital to alumni Black Ambition prize winners—paired with expanded programming designed to accelerate their growth.
Black Ambition will not host a national prize competition this year. Our 2026 focus is on deepening support for our existing portfolio companies by helping them win: unlocking partnerships, navigating market shifts, accessing the right platforms, and building companies that last. This next chapter is dedicated to providing the structural support, capital, and guidance founders need to grow into generational businesses.
Becoming A Portfolio Platform
The 2026 strategy marks the beginning of Black Ambition’s expansion from a discovery engine to a portfolio platform. Black Ambition is no longer just identifying talent. We are now partnering with founders to help them scale. Phase 2 focuses on:
- Follow-on capital pathways to support Series A and more
- Strategic partnerships connecting founders with corporate leaders and enterprise opportunities
- Access to investors and industry leaders for high-impact networking
- Founder storytelling using case studies to amplify impact
- Global ecosystem opportunities, including ongoing international engagements
Going Global by Partnering Locally
Black Ambition will continue discovering new founders through regional pitch collaborations and special events in innovation hubs such as South Florida, Virginia, Paris and Puerto Rico. This approach allows us to maintain a global network while keeping the focus on nurturing the founders already in our ecosystem.
Continuing Engagement and Founder Resources
Black Ambition continues to offer multiple pathways for founders to engage. Programs like the Fundable Founders Program, a 10-week accelerator preparing companies for investment, remain active. The So Ambitious Podcast and digital community continue to provide resources, networking, and visibility for both current and future founders.
Deepening the Mission
Black Ambition was founded to expand access, capital, and opportunity for underrepresented founders. That mission remains unchanged. What is expanding is how we deliver on that mission.
The work is accelerating. And our commitment is deepening.
